Collect urine in a sterile cup

Transport Information:

Urine specimens must be transferred into the cobas PCR Media tube (stabilized) immediately. If specimens cannot be transferred immediately, they can be stored and transported at 2-8°C for 4 days. Submit 5.0 mL of urine in cobas PCR Media or sterile container.

Minimum Sample Volume: Minimum amount of analytical sample (serum, plasma, urine, CSF, etc.) required to perform an assay once. Submitting the minimum volume makes it impossible to repeat the test or perform confirmatory or reflex testing. In some situations, a minimum specimen volume may result in a QNS (Quantity Not Sufficient) result, requiring a second specimen to be collected.
