Remarks: 
Sample vial should be filled to minimum volume for the EDTA collection tube, with a minimum of ½ full sample tube. If collecting into pediatric tubes, a minimum of 400 µL of sample must be collected. Avoid short draws as excess EDTA in the tube may cause erroneous results. Trough collection (~1/2 hour prior to next dose) is most indicative of therapeutic levels according to the Zortress product insert.

Unacceptable Conditions: 
Clotted samples are not acceptable for analysis.

Stability Comments: 
Samples received in the IMMC laboratory on Friday night, Saturday or Sunday should be stored frozen for optimal specimen stability.
