Transport Information: 
Centrifuge and aliquot 0.5 mL of serum for every 5 allergens requested into a plastic transport vial. Send refrigerated.

Minimum Sample Volume: 
0.5 mL of serum (approximately 1.0 mL of whole blood based upon a normal patient hematocrit)
For 1 allergen: 0.3 mL of serum
For more than 1 allergen: (0.05 mL x number of allergens) + 0.25 mL deadspace
